Andrew and I hiked up "our" mountain recently and I was brave enough to let him have a try at taking pictures with my pride and joy, my digital Nikon. Here's one he took of me and of course a few pics of my desert rat who aquired his desert whiskers. He can now navigate through a forest of cholla like the true native he is.
Thumbs up for a job well done. What a trooper!
We have a new friend, a desert tortoise named Juno. The kids just adore her! She was actually chasing Kate around the yard yesterday!
Felipe has made his apearance! We have been sharing our Sonoan Desert home with this amazing Desert Spiny Lizard (Sceloporus magister) since we moved in 4 years ago. It's always nice to see him displaying his studliness by doing push up after push up.
